Make a Class Facebook Page

Every teacher has struggled with Facebook and how to interact with their students without getting caught in the unusual position of having their personal life exposed to their students.

Facebook has grown in a lot of ways so it is now easier than ever to pick and choose what you want to share, and with whom. But still the easiest way by far is simply to create a class Facebook page.

If Facebook is a digital society, a page can easily be thought of like a classroom. It’s a place where everyone can come together to interact on the terms of the person who runs it (namely, you!) and to build a community in a way that you never thought possible.

In the past I’ve built pages for classes in order to keep students up to date on homework, connected with activities, sharing projects, or just to have fun.

When the class is finished, you can choose to delete the page, or keep your students connected!

Today we’re going to look at how to set up a page and the basics that you should be careful about.

I recommend opening your Facebook account next to this video and walking through the steps together with me. You can always pause the video if you need a little more time to think out your particular details. Let’s get into it!

As always, please like the video if you found it useful, and if you have any questions, let me know in the comments below!
