For those who have been paying careful attention, I’ve been promising (threatening?) to start my podcast for far too long without taking action.
They weren’t idle threats, however. This has been a VERY real project that I’ve been working on.
Today I’m happy to introduce the EdTechTV Podcast, where I will explore the crossroads of education and technology.
Here at EdTech.tv I spend a fair amount of time delving into the details of individual services, apps, and resources to help make the classroom a more productive place. With the EdTechTV Podcast, I hope to explore some of the same issues, but as audio lends itself to better conversation, I’d also like to explore some of the bigger ideas in tech, how they affect education, and other broad-spectrum ideas.
I’m interested in interviewing people outside of the world of education to get perspectives that we tend to block ourselves off from. I’d like to talk with thought leaders both in and out of Ed, and use those ideas not only to help make us better educators, but better citizens of the global community.
I also want to have a good time. I’m hoping not to take myself too seriously (something I’m occasionally accused of) and instead to play with the idea that this kind of professional development can be FUN as well.
I hope you’ll join me on the journey!
